Cambridge Early Music: The Fugal Connection
Saturday 28 October 2017
The superb period-instrument group, The Revolutionary Drawing Room, play three ground-breaking string quartets: Haydn's op. 20, no.5 (1772), Mozart's K387 (1782) and Beethoven's op.59, no.3 (1808), linked by their creative use of Baroque fugal writing. Fanfare magazine thought the playing of the Revolutionary Drawing Room 'the best kind of period-instrument performance, secure and undidactic'.
