MCR Fellows Liaison Talk
Thursday 26 October 2017
6.15pm to 8pm
Talk by Professor John Richer, one of the Downing Fellows in Physics, entitled “Bradford, Cambridge, Hawaii, Atacama: searching for the origins of our solar system.”
John works on the formation of stars and is Professor in Astrophysics at the Cavendish Laboratory.
This is in a series of semi-biographical talks each term by Fellows about their own patterns of career development and activities, rather than straight "research seminars". The idea is for the talks to be of general appeal, though they may be of special interest to postgraduates in allied fields to the speaker.
The format is relaxed and informal. There will be opportunities for discussion with the speaker and other Fellows present before the talk and for questions afterwards. Drinks and nibbles will be available as fuel throughout. The MCR Committee will be in touch to ask for those interested to sign-up for the occasion.
