Dates will be listed here as they become available. All dates are provisional and subject to change should unforeseen circumstances arise.
It is expected that the majority of interviews will be held between 9 and 13 December 2019. However, a few subjects will be holding interviews during the week beginning 3 December or earlier (HSPS interviews will be in the last week of November). Final interview dates will not be available until the beginning of November 2019.
If you have applied to Downing College and know that you will be unable to make one or more of the days specified for your subject or during the expected interview period, email the Admissions Officer, Kate Flint (email@example.com) as soon as possible. If enough notice is given, it may be possible to avoid scheduling your interviews on those days. It is not possible to make any changes after you have been notified of your interview times.
Please note that interviews can start as early as 8.30am, with the later ones finishing at 6.30pm.
We encourage candidates who will have interviews at other universities, to let us know as soon as possible about any potential clashes with interviews elsewhere.
For updates on when invite or decline to interview letters have been sent for each subject, please follow @DiscoverDowning on Twitter or like the Discover Downing page on Facebook.
The College does not normally offer undergraduate places to candidates who are unavailable for interview.
Downing College does not offer remote interviews; however, where there are strong extenuating circumstances where an applicant is unable to travel to Cambridge or an overseas interview location, a remote interview may be considered. There is no guarantee that such interviews will be able to take place in any given case since they depend on the availability of resources and interviewers. Applicants who may require a remote interview must contact the Admissions Officer (firstname.lastname@example.org) as early as possible in their application process.
