Rachel Mumford, 3rd Year Downing Geographer and JCR Access Officer, features in a ‘This Cambridge Life’ article on the University website.  She is currently studying the South Korean pop culture phenomenon.

Rachel attended a comprehensive school in north London and has been inspired to participate with Downing's outreach programme to prospective students.  She says, "Plenty of people at my school had the ability to apply to Cambridge. But few of them did. That’s one of the reasons I’ve been contributing to access initiatives at my college, Downing. I’m the JCR Access Officer. For the last two years, I’ve helped to look after candidates when they come for their admission interviews. I remember how nervous I felt."
