Choir alumni reunion and thanksgiving evensong for 10 years of the Chapel organ
We were delighted to welcome back over 40 alumni of the Chapel Choir on Sunday 27 April, who joined with current singers for a glorious celebration of the 'new' organ's tenth anniversary. Evensong was a joyous occasion with music by Stanford, Parry, and Widor - apparently the anthem could be heard as far away as the Paddock!
The service was directed by Louisa Denby, Director of Music, and accompanied by Martin Baker, our Honorary Fellow and Music Ambassador. The service was followed by a black-tie dinner in the Hall, giving alumni the chance to catch up and reminisce. It was a fantastic day and a long time coming following the Covid pandemic.
