Fellow's debut novel launched at College
The debut novel by Dr Ewan Jones, Downing Fellow in English, was officially launched on 2 November, in the Heong Gallery.
The novel Clinical Intimacy was written under Dr Jones’ birth name Ewan Gass. It explores the life of one man, referred to as ‘S’, through a patchwork of relationships. In interviews with each of these relationships – friends, lovers, clients and his immediate family – a picture of this ordinary yet extraordinary man begins to form.
Through the intimate snapshots of ‘S’, Clinical Intimacy explores the emotional conditions and moral consequences of a life lived in service to others.
