Remembering Jordan Keyton
We are deeply saddened by the death in College of Jordan Keyton, a final year undergraduate student.
Jordan matriculated in October 2019, initially for the Natural Sciences Tripos, and later transferred to Economics. He was due to sit his Economics Part IIB exams and graduate this summer. As well as intelligence, Jordan had charm and kindness in abundance, and immense potential. He was a popular student with Fellows, staff and other students, known for his warm smile and infectious laugh.
Jordan was an enthusiastic fresher rep in the challenging context of the pandemic and greatly helped the 2020 intake settle into College, during a complex and difficult time. More recently Jordan put a great deal of energy into CamFM, where he served on the committee and hosted a regular show. Jordan took part in the 24hr radio marathon last year, raising over £1000 for the charity “it takes a city” and he was nominated for an Outstanding Contribution award at the 2025 Student Radio Association Amplify Awards.
A celebration of Jordan’s life will take place in the Howard Theatre at 3pm on Monday 30 June.
The Downing community send our deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
