Fundraising priorities 

When you make a gift to Downing, you can choose to support any of these priorities:

Student Support

By supporting our Student Support Fund, you’ll enable our students to make the most of their time at Downing without financial concerns or hardship, giving them the security to be able to maximise their time at the College. Your gift to Student Support, can help us provide more generous bursaries to students allowing them to fulfil their full academic and personal potential.

Greatest Need Fund (Unrestricted)

Making your gift to the Greatest Need Fund is one of the most powerful ways you can help the College. Your help towards this fund allows us to be agile and decisive, responding to areas of greatest need as and when they arise. By contributing to this you’ll be helping us to plan as best as possible for whatever the future may hold, without diverting funds from key initiatives such as student wellbeing.

College Teaching Fund

Donating to our College Teaching Fund ensures that Downing remains a place where students can exchange ideas and be inspired by world class teaching. We’re planning both to increase our teaching Fellowship, especially in high demand subjects such as Law, English, Mathematics, Classics and Economics and build new programmes and resources to help our students flourish.
