How to apply - for postgraduates

Prospective postgraduate students apply to the University in the first instance for most courses; you can indicate Downing as your first choice College on the application form.  Information regarding Postgraduate Study can be found on the University website including course information (eligibility, finance and how to apply for each course), as well as sections on Funding, Finance, Colleges, Applying and the process, information for International students etc.  If you are applying for a course at the Judge Business School, Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) or the PGCE please refer to each course page for the application process and further information.

Affiliated students for BA courses

If you are a postgraduate wanting to take a Cambridge BA course you can apply as an Affiliated Student.

College transfers

A College transfer can only be considered if another College has offered you a full or substantial scholarship and a condition of being awarded the scholarship is that you become a member of that College. For further information see: 

If you have a disability, other serious medical needs or specific family needs, then you should contact the Senior Tutor of the College that has accepted you to discuss options or adjustments. If you do not yet have College membership, you should wait until you are assigned a College and then contact the Senior Tutor at that College who will be able to advise on any adjustments they can make.
