Who is it for?

Year 11–13 students in schools and colleges across the North-West or East Midlands. 

Aims of the event 

Support prospective undergraduate applicants and accompanying teachers in making informed decisions about the University of Cambridge.

In partnership with 

Other Cambridge colleges. 

Each year in March, a consortium of Cambridge colleges visit the North West and East Midlands to host a University of Cambridge Admissions-themed conference for Year 12 students and accompanying teachers.  

The event includes talks from Admissions Tutors, academics and current students covering: 

  • What Cambridge is looking for 

  • Student Finance and careers

  • Interviews (both STEM and Arts & Humanities)

  • Student Life

  • Teacher references 

  • Subject sessions 

Previous conferences have been organised by Pembroke, Christ's, Downing, Fitzwilliam, Magdalene, Peterhouse, Sidney Sussex, and St John's Colleges collectively. Downing College participates on a rotating basis, attending either the North West or the East Midlands event each year.
