Downing Scholars Programme
Launching this October, the Downing Scholars Programme (or DSP) is a 9-month programme designed to inspire and challenge Year 10 through to Year 12 UK home students with interests in the Arts and Humanities. The DSP will introduce students to the breadth and depth offered by the Arts and Humanities, supported by a study programme that reaches widely across the undergraduate subjects offered at the University of Cambridge.
Made up of taster lectures, engaging activities, and academic support, the DSP will allow students to explore their academic interests beyond the school curriculum.
This widening participation (WP) initiative is run by our School and College Liaison Officers and we seek to encourage those from WP backgrounds to consider applying.

Interview support webinar

To help shed light on the interview process and support prospective applicants to Cambridge University, we are running an Interview Support Webinar on Tuesday 28 October at 5pm (UK time). The webinar will be recorded and sent to all those who registered.

Subject-specific interview webinars
Downing is pleased to be partnering with Pembroke, Magdalene, Sidney Sussex, Queen’s, Christ’s, and St John’s Colleges to deliver subject-specific interview webinars for state school students in year 13/S6/year 14 (NI) who are actively considering applying to Cambridge this October. Sessions will be held in the evening from late September to early October.
