Who is it for?

Sixth-form students (including mature). Further eligibility criteria can be found on the University of Cambridge website.  

Aims of the programme 

Develop your confidence to apply to study physical, biological or behavioural sciences, engineering or computer science at Downing College, the University of Cambridge and other highly selective universities. 

Format 

Online (with a residential stay at Downing College or another participating Cambridge college for select students). 

Duration 

16 months, plus a summer residential.

STEM SMART (Subject Mastery and Attainment Raising Tuition) is a free, 16-month programme to support students (including mature students) in raising their attainment at sixth form level and develop their confidence to apply to study physical, biological or behavioural sciences, engineering or computer science at top universities. Delivered in collaboration with Isaac Science. 

Selected students on the programme have the opportunity to attend a residential stay in Downing College.
