Your Future Story is a fully funded programme led by the Colyton Foundation, helping high-attaining, under-resourced children in the South West (Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset) to have the opportunity, knowledge, and confidence to access high-tariff higher education courses.
In a cohort-based model, Your Future Story brings together Year 7 pupils from across rural, urban and coastal communities across the Southwest of England to build a regional network of mutual support. This long-term initiative combines development workshops, employer visits, university campus visits and dedicated in-school mentoring from specially trained ‘Teacher Champions’ to empower and inspire.
Downing College is delighted to support the Your Future Programme alongside the University of Bristol, University of Exeter, University of Cambridge and the Sutton Trust to strengthen attainment rates and boost progression to Higher Education in the region.
