Bye Fellow discusses research on invasive species in Antartica

Bye Fellow and Teaching Associate at Downing Arlie McCarthy appeared on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme this morning to discuss her research on invasive species in Antartica.

Ms McCarthy has led on a study which has tracked research, fishing and tourist vessels that routinely visit the protected, and otherwise isolated region. The study concluded that species from around the world are 'hitching a lift' on ships and threaten Antarctica's pristine marine ecosystem.
