Downing College will be open from 10am to 3pm.

Tours

All tours leave from outside the Maitland Robinson Library. There is no need to book onto a tour, please just approach the Welcome Desk on arrival and choose your tour from either:

  • Guided Tour (approx. 20 mins)
  • Self-Guided Tour

Staff will be on hand throughout the day in the Howard Theatre (Grace Howard Room) to answer your questions on:

Admissions & Subject Talks

We will be offering an Admissions Talk at 10.30am as well as a variety of subject talks, led by the Director of Studies. Talks will take place in the Howard Theatre. 

  • 10am: Engineering - Dr Maria Vera-Morales
  • 10.30am: Admissions talk - Professor Guy Williams
  • 11am: PBS - Professor Amy Milton
  • 11.30am: Theology - Revd Dr Keith Eyeons
  • 12 noon: History - Dr David Pratt
  • 12.30pm: Economics - Dr Michael Ashby
  • 1pm: Natural Sciences - Professor Zoe Barber and Dr John Morgan
  • 1.30pm: Veterinary Medicine - Dr Tom Towers
  • 2.30pm: Geography - Professor Michael Bravo

Food and Drink 

The Lord Butterfield Café will be open from 10am - 3pm, serving beverages and snacks to keep you fuelled and refreshed throughout the day.

Or you can visit the Dining Hall (between 12pm and 1.30pm) for lunch. At Open Day, we would like you to sample student life, so will be offering lunch meals at student prices with a voucher available on the day.
