A Christmas message from Alan Bookbinder, Master of Downing, to Downing College students:
"As Michaelmas comes to an end under glowering skies I just wanted to say congratulations to you all for reaching the end of a demanding Downing term.
It’s quite an achievement to fit so much into eight intense weeks, and I hope it was enjoyable or productive, preferably both!
I also appreciate that for graduate students your break comes much later and is much shorter. But either way, I wish you all a happy festive season, and I trust that the New Year will bring you refreshed energy and renewed enthusiasm."
