Fellows' news

Three Downing Fellows, Dr Bonnie Lander Johnson, Dr Natalia Mora-Sitja and Professor Helen Scott had their DPhils from Oxford recognised by the University, by incorporating Cambridge PhDs.

Two other Fellows, Jo Finnie Jones and Professor Bill O'Neill, had their at least 3 years of service recognised by receiving MAs approved by a Grace of the Regent House.

Everyone except Professor O'Neill attended the Senate House along with graduating postgraduate students on 1 April to be admitted to their degrees in person by the Vice-Chancellor's deputy, Professor Richard Penty, the Master of Sidney Sussex College.

All of them now have membership of the Senate for life and can enjoy privileges available to Cambridge graduates, such as extended borrowing rights from the University Library and the opportunity to vote for the next Chancellor of the University.
