Winners announced for the Mr and Mrs Geoffrey Twining Egginton Prize 2021
The winners have been announced for the College's annual prize for Fine Arts. Students at Downing submitted a broad range of work and this year's entries, which are viewable here, include photography, drawing and painting, as well as digital art.
The Mr and Mrs Geoffrey Twining Egginton Prize of £300 (winning entry) and two prizes of £100 (second and third placed entries) is awarded each year to any current undergraduate or postgraduate member of Downing College who have excelled in Fine Arts.
The judging panel awarded the following prizes:
- First Place: Alexandra Fice for ‘Viñales at Sunrise’ – Mixed Media (Watercolour Pencils and Black Pen)
- Second Place: Maria Kazarian for ‘My Brother’ – Acrylic Paint on Canvas
- Third Place: Sophie Rabinow for ‘Milkweed’ – Digital Photograph
