2023 Open Days
Thursday 6 & Friday 7 July 2023
Downing College will be open for potential applicants to come and visit the College between 9:30am – 4:30pm, as part of the University of Cambridge Open Days.
We will be running a variety of activities throughout the day.
Tours
All our tours are delivered by current students and leave from outside the Maitland Robinson Library every 5-10mins. There is no need to book onto a tour, please just approach the welcome desk on arrival and choose your tour from the following options:
- Full Guided Tour (approx. 40mins)
- Highlights Guided Tour (approx. 20mins)
- Self-Guided Tour
Drop-In Desks
There will be four drop-in desks with staff and students on hand to answer any of your questions on:
- Admissions – Our Admissions Officer will be answering any questions on the application process
- Accommodation – Our Accommodation Team will be on hand to answer all your accommodation enquiries
- Wellbeing – Our Head of Student Wellbeing and College Nurses will be around to discuss all the support available at Downing
- Student Life – Our student ambassadors would love to answer any questions you have about Downing and studying at Cambridge
Talks and Q&As
Meet the Admissions Tutor
Our Admissions Tutor will be delivering an ‘Applying to Cambridge’ talk followed by a Q&A where you can ask any questions you have about how the admissions process works and what we look for in applicants.
The session is held 10:00am – 11:00am or 3:00pm – 4:00pm on both days.
Due to the room capacity please fill out the form to reserve a place.
Subject Q&As
Subject Q&As with Directors of Study and/or current students will take place over both days. Please register for these closer to the event when the full timetable is released.
