Arts and Humanities Residential

In partnership with the Cambridge Judge Business School, Downing College is offering a residential for students interested in discovering how studying Arts or Humanities subjects can bring about meaningful change. By learning about the Global Sustainable Development Goals and applying these to some of the courses offered by the University of Cambridge, students will consider how Arts or Humanities degrees could make a real-world impact on creating a sustainable future!

Successful students will take part in workshops led by Dr Lidia Mishchenko, a Teaching Associate at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, who will introduce the Global Sustainable Development Goals into practice. Following this, students will stay at Downing for a few days to live like a student, whilst putting their knowledge of Global Sustainable Development Goals into practice. During the residential students will take part in:

  • Arts and Humanities subject introductions and workshops
  • Transferable skills workshops, such as debating and essay writing
  • College and department tours
  • Social activities, such as experiencing a Formal Hall

This is a fantastic opportunity to explore your subject interests further and see what studying at the University of Cambridge would look like.

All costs of this programme, including travel, food and accommodation are covered.
